At KINDRED FLOW YOGA + WELLNESS,
we celebrate the ancient wisdom of yoga in uniting body, mind, and spirit through movement and breath.
We provide a variety of styles of yoga through weekly classes, many special events and workshops,
plus 4-6 week series (for beginners, meditation, and more)
so we can offer you many opportunities to deepen your knowledge, awareness, and practice.
Kindred Flow Yoga is home to all levels of practitioners,
recognizing that each individual has their own, unique path to follow,
just as the river finds its own path flowing to the sea.
We honor that what feels right for you today might not yield that same feeling tomorrow;
we are OK with that, and we will encourage you to be OK with it as well.
We believe that each of us as individuals are meant to shine our unique light,
to reflect or rekindle the light of others, that we are meant to seek and honor the light of others
(even those with whom we might disagree),
and to support one another through times of shadow and struggle.
Like water molecules, we are not meant to make this journey alone.

Come roll out your mat (or borrow one of ours) in this beautiful space in Wyoming, Ohio. Our classes are taught by a certified team of instructors, and include a wide range of levels, techniques, and styles.
We pride ourselves in offering classes that are both dynamic and meditative, encouraging movement for your body as well as stillness for your mind.
A typical weekly schedule goes something like this:

Teens and Tween/Kids yoga classes

After School Kids Yoga Class
for Middle School and High School students with Kara Garrod
Wednesdays after school, 3:30-4:30 pm, 9/21-12/7/22
Yoga for Middle and High Schoolers helps bridge the gap between the playfulness of a kids yoga class and the intensity of an adult yoga class. Together we will create a safe and respectful environment for ourselves and our classmates.
We will peel away the layers of yoga, discussing the benefits of a consistent practice to one’s body and mind. Later in the semester, we will explore a little yoga philosophy.
All of this while we move our bodies in ways that feel good to our individual selves in that individual moment! Like this precious time period in our kids’ lives, we will alternate between keeping it light and playful, and diving in to honor bigger emotions and real struggles.
No class on Oct. 5 (WCS off that day) or the week of Thanksgiving.

After School Kids Yoga Class
for K-4th graders with Kara Garrod
Thursdays after school, 4:30-5:30 pm 9/15-12/1/2022
Your child will help co-create a safe and respectful environment to keep themselves and each other safe as we explore the world of yoga using our imaginations, our bodies, and limitless possibilities!
(Well, perhaps a few limits…) 😉
We will use music and songs, props like breathing buddies and scarves, gratitude journals, and more to invite some mindful movement and stillness to our otherwise structured days. Participants will keep some props for use at home and to bring back to class with them each week.
No class the week of Thanksgiving.

Enrichment Classes, Lads & Lassies Preschool
Wednesdays, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
September 21 - December 7, 2022
If your preschooler attends Lads & Lassies Community Preschool, they can attend enrichment yoga classes on Wednesdays in between the morning and afternoon sessions. Morning kids stay an extra hour while afternoon kids can arrive an hour early. I will help usher the afternoon kids to their appropriate classrooms.
Together we will explore various shapes and movements, working gross motor skills and some fine motor skills, experiencing greater social emotional development, and learning how to find our breath during times of ease so it is easier to access during times of stress.
Class size limited to 9, investment includes a preschool-sized yoga mat and props for yoga class your child keeps when the session ends! Please note: registration is not complete until payment + waiver is received. Link to waiver will be sent to email address provided by child's parent.
