Prenatal Yoga Classes
Pregnant mamas deserve to move their bodies not only in a way that feels good, but also in ways that are safe for their evolving bodies. Our team of teachers specifically trained in offering prenatal yoga can help you do precisely that.
Use props like bolsters, blocks, and blankets to make your practice as accessible as possible, under the guidance and loving care of our attuned instructors. Sign up for a class pass to enjoy a discounted per class rate, or pay for each class as you go.
family Yoga
Gather your kiddo or kiddos ages 5-9, and join Registered Childrens Yoga Teacher (RCYT) Tiffany West one Saturday afternoon each month as she creates an opportunity for yoga play the whole family can enjoy! Themes vary each month and materials are provided. Expect to explore yoga poses, some breathwork, partner poses, laughter, and more! Space is limited to six families. This is a great bonding opportunity for kids and parents, grandparents, or nannies. $30/session or $75 for Family Yoga three-class pass in the Packs section.
kundalini Yoga (+ gong)
Twice a month, Kindred Flow Yoga offers Kundalini Yoga classes. Join us on the second Wednesday of the month from 9:30-11 am, and the fourth Sunday of the month from 11:15 am-12:30 pm. Kundalini is a highly effective practice incorporating yoga postures, repetitive movement, breathwork, sound/mantra, active meditation, and deep relaxation.
This helps balance your nervous system and increase awareness and equanimity, while removing energetic blocks.
Save money by purchasing a Kundalini Yoga: 5-class pass in the Packs section, or pay the drop-in Kundali Yoga rate.
yoga nidra
Yoga Nidra is an ancient yogic practice which modern science now identifies as a highly effective mind-body therapy. It invites practitioners to experience a deep level of relaxation described as a state of being somewhere between wakefulness and sleep, where one can be a quiet observer.
Each class, your instructor will provide time for you to set an intention for the practice, some grounded, gentle movement, and pranayama (breath-body) practice. Then we will invite you to get as comfortable as you can, using studio props or your own, as you settle in for deep rest. Your teacher will then walk you through a guided meditation combining traditional methods and modern scientific insight to help you feel both more connected to self, and a curious witness to your underlying peace.
candlelight yoga (winter months)
Savor a gentle flow to calm the mind. Postures will be held longer, allowing you to feel fully engaged and present on your mat. Additionally, this allows you to embrace the pranayama (breathwork) aspect of the practice.
The atmosphere is cozy, tranquil, and soothing as your practice is accompanied by the flickering glow of candlelight.
Prepare to unwind, relax, and surrender to complete bliss. Perhaps you will even find a personal understanding of the term, “Om” — the sacred sound of the universe, representing the unity of the individual soul to universal consciousness.
chair Yoga at be.
On Tuesdays at 11:30 am, participate in a special Chair Yoga class downstairs at be. — the market is closed, but opportunities for your wellness are not! Join Kristi Johnson for 45 minutes of seated stretching from the comfort of your chair, with optional balance poses using the back of the chair for support. This gentle yoga class is accessible and will help increase your flexibility and range of motion, and improve your muscle strength while reducing stress. Purchase a subscription or class pass to reduce the per class rate.
somatic yin Yoga
One Saturday and one Sunday a month (generally, but not always, the first and third, respectively) join us for a Somatic Yin Yoga practice, to help you feel safe coming into your body and therefore the present moment. You will increase your range of motion while loosening the fascia that keeps us constricted and tight. Modifications are always available as you explore your inner sensations and determine what is safe for you in the moment.
Your class passes and monthly or annual subscriptions can be used toward these classes. For more details, visit Presence with Love.
