Registration: Please bookmark this link app.Ubindi.com/Kara.Garrod so you can scroll through the schedule, view our monthly subscriptions or class passes, and register. For a more detailed class description, select the title of the class. There is no “app” per se, just the web app.
Location
Kindred Flow is nestled above be. at 1 Wyoming Avenue, Suite 2. Street parking is available on either street, or there are public parking lots south of Wyoming Community Coffee, or east of the dry cleaners before the school. When you arrive, find the three brick steps on Springfield Pike, and head upstairs for your class.
Keeping others safe
At Kindred Flow, we run an air purifier and use our windows for air flow on temperate days. For all classes, kids and adult, please “mask up” or do not attend class if you are positive for Covid, or are experiencing any cold-like symptoms or fever. Thank you for practicing ahimsa (non-harming), the first yama of the 8 limbs of yoga.
Some of our teachers may offer gentle hands-on assists, back rubs in child’s pose, or essential oils or cool cloths during savasana. These are entirely elective services.
Studio Props
Please bring your own water bottle, yoga mat, and props if you prefer. The studio has a few spare mats as well as straps, blocks, bolsters, wedges, and lacrosse balls. Blankets are washed regularly. Please wear whatever comfortable clothes you prefer — we find layers are great.
Cancellations
Pre-registration for classes is imperative so our teachers can make an informed choice about holding class. If you wait to register until 2 hours before class, you may find it canceled. If your teacher needs to cancel a class for which you were already scheduled, we will email you and add a “missed class credit” to your account. Please make sure you are able to receive emails from Ubindi, the scheduling platform Kindred Flow uses, so we can reach you in instances like these.
If you realize you cannot make a class for which you previously registered, please CANCEL your own registration for that class. This will preserve your class credit for future use.
Here’s how: From Ubindi, scroll to the class for which you are registered. It should say "Going" in the bottom right. Once you select "Going" a window will open giving you the option to cancel. Select "cancel" and you are all set! Your teacher AND your class pass appreciate you!
Pricing:
Subscriptions are designed for clients who plan to attend 1 class per week ($50/month), 2 classes each week ($100/month) or 3 or more classes per week ($140/month). These fees are automatically charged each month, and frankly are a very helpful way of prioritizing your own health as well as supporting this small business. Subscriptions are priced so even if you miss a week, you still enjoy a bargain rate. Thank you for subscribing, if you are able.
Class passes (5-, 10- or 25-) have a reasonable expiration date so you can plan ahead to schedule your class passes for weekly offerings; they are offered on a “use them or lose them” non-refundable, non-transferable basis.
Referral Pass Credit
On your teacher's Ubindi page (where you normally book classes), you'll see a box titled 'Give & get a free class'
On that box, click 'Get invite link' to reveal your unique referral link
Next, you'll see a popup where you can simply click the 'Copy' button to grab your link
Now, your unique referral link is copied into your device memory, and you can paste it anywhere you like (in an email, a message, a social media post, etc).
Whenever someone registers with your teacher as a new student, you'll get a credit for a free class, and you'll get an email notification to let you know. You'll be able to use your free class credit(s) to register for any eligible class with your teacher.
So when you register for class (as you normally would), if your class credit applies to that class, you'll see a message that lets you know your "Referral Pass" will be used
On your Account page, you can also see how many credits you have on your Referral Pass (there's no limit to how many credits you can earn with your personal referral link)
